Strich, the bug-maniac, Skyloft's Knight Academy, accessible as soon as you got the green tunic
At night, enter the knight academy (by the 2nd floor's door) and go in Cawlin and Strich's room. The latter is a bug-maniac and he's ready to pay to complete his collection, but only at night will he buy, and always following his mood. Every night, he will offer to buy only three different types of insects.
Here are the different groups of three, the numbers are the price he pays for each insect:
Group a: Deku hornet: 1 - Sand cicada: 50 - Eldin roller: 40
Group b: Blessed butterfly: 5 - Gerudo dragonfly: 30 - Starry firefly: 30
Group c: Skyloft mantis: 10 - Lanaryu ant: 20 - Faron grasshopper: 40
Group d: Woodland rhino beetle: 20 - Volcanic ladybug: 20 - Sky stag beetle: 20
Rupin, the treasure enthusiast, residential part of Skyloft, accessible as soon as you got the green tunic
At night, go in Rupin's house, the gear shop's owner, and talk to him. While he is a smiling merchant at day, at night he becomes a rude treasure buyer. He's a bit like Strich, and offers to buy every night, four different types of treasures.
Here are the groups of four items, the numbers are the price he pays for each treasure:
Group a: Hornet larvae: 20 - Eldin ore: 30 - Jelly blob: 30 - Evil crystal: 30
Group b: Bird feather: 20 - Ancient flower: 30 - Monster claw: 30 - Blue bird feather: 100
Group c: Tumbleweed: 20 - Ambre relic: 30 - Monster Horn: 30 - Golden skull: 100
Group d: Lizard tail: 20 - Dusk relic: 30 - Ornamental Skull: 30 - Goddess plume: 100
For Strich and Rupin, if you want to sell other insects/treasures, you just have to decline their offer, sleep in their bed until the next night, and talk to them again.
The Moonlight Merchant, Skyloft waterfall cave, accessible after getting the stone of trials
During the night, enter the waterfall cave and play the goddess's harp near a small flock of blessed butterflies to summon the "moonlight merchant". It looks like a Sheikah Stone and sells precious treasures at high prices!
