Like in many other Zelda games, you can find 4 Pieces of Heart to increase your life level by one heart. Here are the locations of the 44 Pieces of Heart and the Heart Container:

Minish Woods

• South, just before Deepwood Shrine's entrance
• [Spare Key required] Northwest, by getting into the forest from the north side
• [Flippers required] Southwest, there are three small caves, in the left one

Minish Village

• In the northeast part of the village, at the end of a bridge

Deepwood Shrine

• Refer to the walkthrough to find 2 pieces

South Hyrule Field

• Thanks to a Kinstone Fusion with the bag merchant, a tree will open up (look at your map)
• [Flippers required] In a tiny cave reachable through the lake, in the north part of the region

Mount Crenel

• In a cave to the far southwest, reachable from the northwest part of Mount Crenel's Base
• In the southwest part of the area, blow up the wall right of the large wall (to discover a Fairy Fountain)
• [Duplication ability required] In a cave in the eastern part of the area, just under the Business Scrub's cave
• [After the Kinstone Fusion with Melari] On top of a Beanstalk
• [Mole Mitts required] In a sand cave, next to the hermit's one

Hyrule Town

• Shrink in the young man's with a dog house, then go between the flowers north of the hotel
• At Simon's Simulations (house with a green roof in the centre), pay 10 rupees to play and win the game
• [Roc's Cape required] Stand under the bell and jump to make the Piece of Heart fall down
• [Roc's Cape required] Behind the fountain, as a Minish, walk on the footbridge and fly west
• [Four Sword required] In the school's playground, as a Minish (use the vase in the classroom to shrink), walk to the end of the tiny path, clone yourself and push the block
• In the southeast part, help Anju to bring back the cuccos in the pen. You have to pass 10 steps! (2 in 25s, 3 in 25s, 4 in 30s, 5 in 45s, 5 in 50s, 5 in 45s, 6 in 50s, 7 in 60s, 2 in 55s and finaly 3 in 55s). The latter requires the Flippers to get a white cucco near Nitendo, then throw it above the river and cross the river again. To save time, you can throw a cucco towards the pen from the door of the blue-roof house: the cucco will go to the pen by itself (and you'll hear the rooster sing). Anju gives 820 rupees in total!
• Once you have all Nitendo's figurines, talk several times to the man left of the café, to get him open his house's door just above

North Hyrule Field

• A bit before the castle's entrance, blow up the cracked block near a sign. Go on, get in the cave and go downstairs

Veil Falls

• From Lon Lon Ranch's northwest part, use the Cane of Pacci on the hole, jump down and go north to Veil Falls. Go east, go downstairs, and go east again
• [Flippers required] Through the northeast part of North Hyrule Field, swim to the centre of the area
• [Flippers and 82th Kinstone Fusion required] Following the fusion, an opening appears at the fall's bottom
• [90th Kinstone Fusion required] After the fusion, swim to a cave to the south

Hyrule Castle Garden

• In a hidden cave, in the southeast corner of the garden, reachable after the King was bewitched
• Thanks to a Kinstone Fusion, an underground passage will appear to the northeast (look at your map)

Castor Wilds

• From the southwest part, push the tombstone and go down
• [Flippers required] In a cave, to the far northeast. Push the blocks located to the right
• [Flippers and 22nd Kinstone Fusion required] In a tiny cave, to the far southeast. Shrink on a Minish Portal to the northwest, then cross the swamps and get in the cave

Lon Lon Ranch

• [Pegasus Boots required] At the end of a tiny path in the ranch's meadow
• [Roc's Cape required] When leaving a cave whose entrance is north of Lake Hylia

Wind Ruins

• North of the region, shrink with the portal, then go west and climb down two vines. Where there are three of them, go down with the middle one, then get in the small cave on the left. Follow the passage to the end

Western Wood

• After a Kinstone Fusion, a tree will open up in the centre of the area (look at your map)

Eastern Hills

• [Kinstone Fusion with the Minish located southwest of the Hills required] At the top of a Beanstalk

Lake Hylia

• [Flippers required] At the bottom of the pond near the house, north of the lake
• [Flippers required] Swim southwards
• [Flippers required] At Waveblade's place, the swordmaster, in a tree on the southwestern bank of Lake Hylia
• [Roc's Cape required] Fly to a small platform in the middle of the lake
• [Roc's Cape and 66th Kinstone Fusion required] On top of a Beanstalk, reachable through a sand cave north of the area
• [91st Kinstone Fusion required] Following the fusion, jump in the tiny hole near the symbol, go through the tunnel and talk to the old Minish to get a Heart Container!

Royal Valley

• [Duplication ability required] In the graveyard, push the northwest tomb
